This is an exciting opportunity to secure a position as a Payroll Officer in one of Australia's most reputable organisation's within operations and maintenance.

Monday through to Friday- 38-hour week!

Located in Melbourne CBD our client is offering a fantastic opportunity to play an integral part in a large payroll function as an experienced Payroll Officer.

You will be responsible for calculating and paying all employee wages in a timely and accurate manner. This part time role will see you actively working with employees and managers to administer all matters related to payroll and remuneration.

Reporting to HR and Finance Manager your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* End to end processing of selected weekly and fortnightly payroll for over 500 employees
* Excellent Microsoft packages and Pay global system experience
* Updating and maintaining payroll records
* Liaising with staff and management on payroll related queries
* Maintaining leave, sickness and overtime reports
* Interpreting awards/agreements and contracts in relation to overtime, shift allowances etc.
* Calculation and payment of termination payments
* Other Payroll Administration duties as requires

EBA or Modern award knowledge is a must have!

To be successful for this role you will possess the following
* Previous knowledge using Pay global system
* Strong analytical skill
* Demonstrated payroll processing experience
* Attention to detail
* Numerical ability and data entry skills
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Understanding of payroll legislation and processes such as tax and superannuation
* Ability to interpret awards and relevant legislation
* Customer service focus
