The Learning Advisor Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leads and embeds the methodology related aspects of the IA technical curriculum, including continual assessment and proposed reengineering of existing processes and programs, analysis of gaps and development of a solution or series of solutions to meet the needs of the global team.
  • Serves as "subject matter expert" and key 'peer reviewer' to ensure content is appropriate in line with the methodology training, whether already existing within Citi or created elsewhere.
  • Delivers and facilitates training on the methodology in the full range of formats (e-learn, virtual and/or in-person)
  • Partners with the Methodology team to map out the plan for trainings and guidelines, ensuring they are planned out effectively through the year as well as designed, developed, implemented and evaluated in agreed timelines.
  • Partners with other Learning Advisor Leads in the IA L&D team to implement training programs employing blended instructional technology and solutions using practical application technique and interactivity to ensure maximum engagement and embedding of learning.
  • Continuously updates and enhances existing elements within the L&D program, ensuring methodology changes are implemented and updated.
  • Acts as a deputy for the Learning Advisory Group Manager - Technical, in their absence.
  • Set up and host regular meetings with internal peers across all technical areas, sharing and continuously evaluating, to ensure changes are incorporated as needed, to run a 'best in class' program.


Qualification and Competencies
  • Highly organized, self-disciplined and able to work independently to drive action.
  • Experience from working with Audit as a practitioner.
  • Innovative and keen to try new ways of doing things.
  • Highly adaptable to changing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Influential and passionate about Learning and Development.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment; sensitive to cultural differences.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Ideally qualified at Bachelors level and/or with an Audit, HR or L&D related qualification.
  • Effective coaching and critical analysis/feedback skills.
  • Ability to articulate concepts simply and in an engaging format.
  • Able to lead and facilitate training virtually or face to face.
  • Excellent global stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong ppt.skills, experience in developing online training is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work well under time pressure.
  • Highly desirable to have an instructional design background
  • Desirable to have experience of working with Digital Learning software/platforms such as Articulate, Brainshark, Captivate, Adobe Connect and Zoom.
