Here at Serco we escort on average 24,000 prisoners per month, using a fleet of nearly 200 specialist vehicles across multiple sites - with the justice system relying heavily on us to deliver them safely and on time. As our new Business Analyst, you'll play a vital role in helping us deliver this service as you work to improve the technology and processes we use to support it.

Using your previous Business Analyst experience you'll first gain a thorough understanding of our business, the technology we use, and our ongoing needs and problems. You'll then work with our internal and external stakeholders to arrive at the solutions - orchestrating and driving the changes needed. As part of this you'll:

  • Elicit, validate, prioritise and document business and technical requirements
  • Proactively communicate with external and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with technical architects to understand technology limitations and recommend development options to meet business needs
  • Undertake complex process mapping exercises

You won't be doing this alone though. You'll also have the support of our tight knit and supportive team and crews, in a company committed to its values of Trust, Care, Innovation and Pride.

What you'll need to do the role

As someone with a Business Analyst background, you'll be able to demonstrate previous experience of business analytics and have a good understanding of IT and data processing systems. Naturally you'll need to be an excellent stakeholder manager along with the drive and capability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.

You will be required to travel throughout the contract as and when needed, so you'll need to have a driving licence - although a company car is provided.
