Financial Accountant - " Wealth Manager

A rapidly growing UK Wealth Manager is expanding their finance function through hiring a Financial Accountant into a newly created position reporting into the Financial Controller.

As the Financial Accountant you will work closely with the Financial Controller and junior team members to deliver accurate and timely Financial Reporting of Annual Financial Statements, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, FCA and VAT Returns, as well as assisting in improving existing processes and controls.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Full ownership of Company Balance Sheet Reconciliations including review, process improvement and analysis in line with appropriate accounting policy.
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements of seven companies, including Consolidated Group Entity.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in planning, preparation, and delivery of the year end audit.
  • Completion of Bi-annual FCA Returns of three companies, including the Consolidated Group Entity.
  • Review of the existing control environment and processes and advising on and implementing improvements and changes.


The Financial Controller joined the business 5 months ago so is acutely aware and highly supportive of someone making a move whilst working remotely. She is CIMA qualified therefore looking for a qualified accountant with proven technical understand. Key skills and experienced required includes:

  • Technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Technical understanding of FCA Reporting especially capital adequacy
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI reporting would be advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
