Role Purpose We are looking for an experienced, part or newly qualified accountant who will be responsible for preparing year accounts ensuring all statutory deadlines are met for a diverse portfolio of clients. This is a new role offers the chance to quickly develop and progress in a forward-thinking organisation. The successful applicant will have the autonomy to shape their own career within a tight-knit, non-traditional, start-up type environment, but with the support and guidance of the wider technical and compliance teams of a top 50 firm. Role Objectives * Complete year end accounts and full year end files, ensuring clients meet all statutory filing requirements * Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing Sedulo clients, to understand their business and assist with their issues * Ensure full compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements * Ensure all targets are met, including but not limited to, monthly billing and client deadlines * Assist the development of less experienced members of the team through coaching, mentoring and providing technical guidance * Assist with the ongoing review of internal processes and procedures to ensure best practice is followed Your knowledge, skills and experience * Qualified or working towards ACCA/ACA qualification * Experienced in preparing statutory year end accounts * Experienced in dealing with consolidated accounts and groups of companies * Confident in dealing with clients at all levels and experienced in building strong client relationships * Organised, efficient and have experience in successfully managing multiple deadlines * Technically strong with a passion for developing yourself and others What we offer * A company mantra of having fun together, getting results together and giving back together * A bespoke training and development plan with the opportunity to expand and diversify your skills * 26 days holiday, company pension scheme, health care plan, cycle to work scheme, death in service benefits and access to our in house Wealth Planning and Mortgage departments * Smart working and agile working hours including the ability to work remotely for up to 20% of your contracted time * Ability to work away from home remotely for up to 4 weeks per year, great for extending a trip to see family or making the most of warmer climates * All expenses paid annual company social trip overseas
