Senior Accounts Receivable Drogheda Role Overview: Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accounts Receivable will have responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day running of the Credit Control function, to ensure customer debts are paid promptly and company's Account Receivables KPI's are met month to month. Role Deliverables: 1. Responsibility for the collection of debtor accounts across all regions and all currencies 2. Debtors reconciliations in line with weekly, month-end and quarterly reporting 3. Manage overall customer query and payment resolution i.e. copy invoices, statements & follow-up to ensure credit requests are approved 4. Present weekly KPI Dashboard to the Financial Controller (Debtors Days/Overdues etc.) 5. Deal with the relevant commercial team/country on problem accounts to ensure prompt payment or remedial actions 6. Ensure Master data file Customers is updated on a regular basis to include amendments to existing records 7. Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external clients 8. Manage customer credit insurance applications and invoice discounting processes (Uploading of Invoices and monthly reconciliation), and all associated administration 9. Respond in a timely manner to requests for information from internal departments 10. Ensure customer invoices and statements are sent in a timely fashion and uploaded to customer portals where necessary. 11. Monitoring performance of Accounts Assistant (AR) to achieve set target 12. Monitor customer credit limits and maintain company credit policies 13. Maintain up to date and accurate client correspondence/contact activity 14. Prepare and File monthly VIES reports and Intrastat (Export) Experience and Qualifications: • 5+ years relevant Credit Control/Accounts Receivable experience, ideally gained in a FMCG manufacturing environment • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrable ability to lead this area of a finance function • Strong team building skills with proven abilities in decision making and sound personal judgment • Proven ability to positively influence peers and subordinates • Sound organization and investigation skills • Solid attention to detail Competencies to perform the role: • Plans for Success - Develops project plans required to implement projects and programmes of work; defines risks and benefits of work and proactively manages • Acts Commercially - Creates a business case for business projects when required • Builds Teams - Works collaboratively and encourages cross disciplinary working between teams • Customer Focus - Proactively seeks customer feedback and acts upon it • Leads Change - Challenges the current perspective to drive continuous improvement • Communicates Effectively - uses communication skills to influence colleagues and senior managers; switches easily from high level to detailed information as needed; reads and adapts Salary €40,000 - €45,000 + 10% bonus International accounting/accounts ideal. Candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years solid experience, and will either be in a lead role right now or can clearly demonstrate their ability to step up.
