As a Global Cash Operation Associate - 2, you will interact internally with global Centres of Excellence, Client Operations teams, business unit Shared Service teams to complete applicable day-to-day activities, relating to the overall processing for assigned clients and portfolios.
Key Responsibilities To work as part of a global team in facilitating Claims arising out of contractual settlement.Liaising with agent banks, internal business units and counterparties for issuing claims, providing claim letter and arranging for claim settlement.Processing payments, issuing free format swift (MT199, MT299) posting ledger entries to resolve the exceptions internally to settle claims.Initiating the calls to counterparty / clients to discuss on the claim for resolution.Should have good understand of the settlement process and also should be able to analyze the activities of clearing house (DTC, DTCC, CREST, Euroclear) to ensure pre & post settlements were properly followed.
Experience / Qualification / Key Skills / Attributes Bachelor’s degree with business related coursework or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance preferred2 – 4 years of experience in Claims/Compensation, Cash Operations/Securities Operations functionsShould be familiar with Trade Life cycle and have a fair understanding of different guidelines (ISITC, IFSA, TMPG and GBP guidelines) and good understanding of Claims flow which will be an added advantageGood understanding of Cash Operations / Swift Messages/ ReconciliationStrong computer competence (Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel)Accuracy and detail orientedStrong interpersonal skillsStrong communication (verbal and written) skillsAbility to multi-taskAbility to work under pressure, and within a deadline oriented environment
