We are looking for a thorough individual to join our fast paced and growing accounts team as an Accounts Assistant in Erith, Kent. Your role will be to support the finance department in every aspect, taking on daily duties as required with every opportunity to grow and develop further. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join a fast paced, fun team.

Accountabilities:

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant role generally assists the Finance department working closely with Purchase Ledger and Cash/Banking to ensure the related activities of the Company are processed and managed in line with best practice with in the Finance Department.

Alsford Timber started out as a family-owned business in 1882 selling firewood in North London. Demand for quality timber grew, and by 1891 we had developed into a fully-fledged timber merchant with 6 yards on the outskirts of London. With the expansion of our company and the services we offered came an increase in business, and most importantly, valued customers.

The business grew over the next 100 years, with new branches opening up across the South-East of England. As our estate grew, so did our product offering, which extended to reflect our customer needs.
