Elevation Recruitment Group are really excited to be working in partnership with a growing organisation based in the Barnsley area as they look to expand their busy Finance Team!
This is an exciting opportunity to take on responsibility for driving the strategic direction of the company through the provision of accurate and informative data and supporting all functions across the business!
In this role you will be heavily responsible for communicating with individuals across all functions including non-finance individuals to discuss and present information and make recommendations, so it's essential that you are confident liaising with people at varying levels and to build strong working relationships.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Finance Analyst:
* Support with the preparation and presentation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual budgets and forecasts
* Working closely with and supporting all functions and non-finance individuals to interpret figures / reports and make recommendations on how to improve the reporting moving forwards to make information accessible to all
* Responsible for regular KPI reporting (Operationally driven) to provide information to relevant stakeholders and will present information and reports in weekly / monthly / quarterly functional meetings
* Support local sites coordinating the Capex process to include validation of initial business cases, monthly capex forecasting and post project completion appraisals
* Coordination of inventory counts to ensure compliance to internal controls
* Supporting the Group Finance Director on strategic ad-hoc projects as required
Skills Required:
* Advanced knowledge of Excel and manipulating data
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong commercial acumen
* Part Qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
* Strong numerical skills & attention to detail
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for someone with strong analytical and commercial mind-set to join a supportive team on a full time basis, for a 14 month maternity contract.
