Commercial Finance Analyst

Location: Newbury (Full-time remote working during COVID-19)

What will you be doing?

You'll be an integral member of the Enterprise Commercial Finance team in the role of a Commercial Finance Analyst for the Regions and Soho segments. This role will provide analysis, challenge and support to the Regions & Soho businesses, driving cost and revenue initiatives that help deliver the overall business objectives. The role interfaces both across Finance and to senior stakeholders in the Regions & Soho segments.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Supporting preparation and analysis of both financial and non-financial information and KPIs in relation to P&L performance.
  • Deep understanding of monthly P&L performance including reporting and explanation of variances and trends. Clear and concise articulation of financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proactively provide commercial insight for effective decision making, identify areas that require further analysis and insight and to drive the business to deliver financial targets.
  • A thorough understanding of the dynamics of the Regions & Soho performance is required to be able to support the business in measuring and monitoring the impact from commercial activity through to financial performance.
  • Work closely with Financial Operations on clear understanding on IFRS15 financial performance and trends.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, setting up driver based models, ensuring deadlines are met and working with FP&A to ensure that information is loaded correctly into Vodafone systems.
  • Drive cost and revenue initiatives programmes.


Who are we looking for?

  • Qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or Part Qualified (With study support available).
  • Excellent Excel & Finance system skills.
  • Excellent system and analytical skills coupled with good commercial understanding.
  • Good stakeholder management skills across both finance and non-finance functions at all levels.
