Financial Controller

My client are seeking a Financial Controller to come in and manage a small team and really make their mark in the business, working closely with management to aid strategic business decision making.

Description

As Financial Controller, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual financials
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Management of a small finance team - supporting and developing team members
• Maintenance of ERP system, identifying continuous improvement opportunities
• Update and implement financial procedures in line with business needs
• Delivering insight and presenting financial performance to Directors to assist with strategic business decision making
• Cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis
• Overseeing month end - accruals and prepayments, consolidations & other relevant tasks
• Analysis and commentary - adding value and identifying new opportunities
• Analysis on product costings and suggestions to improve margins
• Attending sales and operations meetings and providing insight
• Business partnering with internal stakeholders to run budgeting process
• Responsible for the preparation and submission of tax computations
• Ad hoc project management

Profile

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Experience of financial and management accounts preparation
• Netsuite ERP experience (desirable)
• Prior experience managing a team, or mentoring/supporting junior members
• Prior experience in an SME stock/product based business (desirable)
• Strong commercial awareness
• Organised and able to manage own time and work load
• Ability to take initiative and be proactive
• Excellent communication skills
• People manager
• Team player
• Confident liaising with key internal & external stakeholders
• Advanced Excel knowledge

Job Offer
