The Financial Accountant will partner with the UK and Ireland Country Controller to manage the statutory preparation for internal Accenture entities in UK and Ireland with an aggregate turnover of more than €3 Billion.
Responsibilities Involved in the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements for the UK and Ireland entities in line with filing deadlinesPreparation of supporting schedules and working papers for the annual Statutory AuditPreparation of reconciliations between the IFRS and US GAAP LedgersReview and analysis of the Profit and Loss account and Balance SheetEnsure integrity and completeness of financial recordsSupporting team liaising with auditors, answering queries and providing data as requiredPerform internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley/SAOInvolved in the accounting for acquisitions and liquidationsProvide accounting support to the Team including responses to ad hoc requestsMeet key reporting deadlinesParticipate in continuous quality improvement projectsProvide reporting to management on issues, statistics, metrics and projects
Skills: Accounting background with strong analytical skillsAbility to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritiseSense of responsibility, initiative and high quality work standardsAnalytical and computer skills (MS Office – Excel, Word)Communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated teamwork and collaboration skillsPositive attitude and flexibilityPrior experience of SAP an advantageFluency in English is required
Qualifications/Experience Professional accountancy qualification or part qualification, e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, AITIStrong technical knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a practice environmentStrong technical knowledge
