Are you a part qualified management accountant looking to join a reputable global business? Then I have a fantastic opportunity for a part qualified Management Accountant to join a fantastic key client based in the Pontefract area as they look to recruit a Finance Analyst.
We are currently working with a thriving retail distribution based in the Pontefract area who have a rare opportunity for a driven and bubbly Part-Qualified Management Accountant to provide reporting and analysis for all accounting aspects of distribution as well as liaising with senior members of staff and operational directors.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:
*Prepare and complete the finance month-end process for in-house distribution in an accurate and timely manner *Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances held are accurate and any anomalies are thoroughly investigated and corrected *Preparation of Monthly Finance Packs for each regional service centre *Conduct monthly finance reviews with the General Manager and Regional Service Centre Management *Monthly forecasting updates with commentary on movements to previous forecast *Close involvement in the bi-annual budget process, with budget preparation and explanation of variances to previous years *Weekly reporting on distribution resources, working with the operation to understand any unexpected anomalies *Client billing for any services provided *Ad-hoc work. These are varied but include investment appraisals for new fleet and estimating fuel requirements for the year ahead
To be successful for this role you MUST have the following attributes:-
* Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) * Ideally come from a Manufacturing/ Logistics background * Personality is key - you must be friendly, bubbly and driven * Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables, lookups etc.) * Management Account experience ideally within a logistics or manufacturing company * Be a highly motivated and focused individual who must be able and willing to roll up their sleeves and do day to day tasks i.e. payment runs, invoice customers * Ability to build strong relationships with employees across multiple business areas and have excellent influencing skills
