The Commercial Finance Manager - Emerging Markets will be the lead finance business partner across the commercial function, providing finance support, identifying possible improvement options and recommendations as well as challenge the status quo where appropriate. This role is pivotal in driving improved financial insights across the Emerging Markets commercial team thus enabling better business decisions and ultimately maximizing revenue and margin expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership for the Emerging Markets P&L revenue number ensuring all G/L postings made by the Accounting Services team are correct and all reporting is accurate
  • Proactive and timely communication of insightful commercial performance information/reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to drive successful achievement of the monthly and quarterly target expectations.
  • Business Partnering - Provide daily business partnering to the Senior Director Emerging Markets and Global Channels, Country Commercial-, Channel-, Marketing and Product Management
  • Forecasting - Own monthly and quarterly forecasting ensuring accountability and accuracy with a clear plan to achieve planned results, including defined risks and opportunities
  • Price - Own the Emerging Markets pricing target, tracking actuals and providing understanding and support to the business to drive key actions
  • Commissions - Own the Emerging Markets sales team commission plans from a finance perspective, ensuring full accountability of the AOP is cascaded down and appropriate bonuses are paid
  • Build the annual revenue AOP alongside the commercial teams ensuring accountability is appropriately assigned
  • Support the commercial teams on new business quotes and existing business re-quotes to ensure optimum pricing & margins and a solid financial case
  • Support the commercial teams on decisions around effective headcount investments and resource re-deployment
  • Establish a set of meaningful KPIs and regularly challenge monthly KPI performance Review marketing initiative performance and provide challenge and suggestions towards improvements


  • Subject matter expert for RFPs within, but not exclusively Emerging Markets
  • Involvement in establishing Strategic/ Global Accounts reporting to measure ongoing performance
  • Play an active role in key projects as the need arises
  • Work on other ad hoc tasks as required

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting qualification and /or Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • Extensive experience in business/commercial finance
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to present a business case to senior audiences
  • Experience with a matrixed organization and dispersed teams
  • Ability to deal with complexity and isolate the essentials
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and motivational skills
  • Leadership, accountability, accuracy, clear and concise communication skills
  • Ability to find workarounds in a less than perfect systems environment
  • Possess a strong set of personal and business values that coincide with those of the 4Is

  • Previous experience of working closely with commercial functions and being able to demonstrate results delivery through those relationships


Preferred:
  • Experience in commercial and manufacturing finance preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Hyperion, Cognos and Power BI a strong plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting with little direction at times.
  • Occasional travel can be expected with this position.
