This is an exciting new opportunity within our Compliance Transformation team, which, for the right candidate, is a fast track pathway to a long and varied career within both the Compliance and Change/Project Management spaces. This is an Apprenticeship opportunity which will see the successful candidates join on an 18-month Level 3 Risk & Compliance Apprenticeship programme.

Compliance is a global function that brings together all aspects of regulatory and financial crime compliance. Acting as risk stewards, and supported by a range of specialist teams, we work together with the business and leverage advanced technology to help HSBC navigate a complex regulatory landscape and embed a sustainable approach to compliance risk management that supports safe growth. Compliance aspires to continuously raise the bar and set leading standards across the industry to help safeguard its customers and the communities within which it operates. Compliance Transformation ensures effective and efficient definition, planning, management and execution of global change programmes related to financial crime and regulatory risk, supporting the Compliance business teams and HSBC to meet its regulatory commitments and covers key areas such as money laundering, sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption.

This permanent, entry level role will give you exposure to a wide variety of different teams within Compliance, designed to build your general understanding of the function.

We are currently seeking an individual to join the Compliance Transformation team as a Business Analyst.

This role will support the project teams to design, plan, lead and manage large scale change programmes globally, working with business stakeholders, regional teams across the globe and technology delivery partners. This will give an opportunity to the jobholder to get hands on experience of supporting change and managing projects early on.

Key elements of the role include;
  • Gathers and details business requirements, supporting prioritisation and traceability
  • Supports on planning a change approach, including considerations on how to manage impacts to the change audience (e.g. planning/ sequencing of change activities)
  • Supports change journey planning and highlights any risks and issues
  • Supports team to define and manage implementation (e.g. definition of interim and target states, pilot/ roll out approach and managing implementation readiness); manages individual implementation activities (e.g. develops training materials)
  • Prepares and delivers change communications and training to change audiences
  • Supports process mapping/ re-engineering design activities using standard tools for both statistical and qualitative methods
  • Supports re-engineering delivery and implementation activities Supports the production of business case

    The base location for this role is London, but applicants from across the UK will be considered.

    This is an entry level role and the focus of the jobholder will be to learn all skills required to grow their career in Compliance Transformation. Full support will be provided, but to be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills (both written and verbal), including the ability to translate complex terms or processes into simple, easily digestible formats
  • Good PC skills and knowledge of Microsoft software

  • 96 UCAS points at A-level or equivalent and a Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics. As per the Government Apprenticeship guidelines, Apprentices need to have been a resident in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years before the start of the apprenticeship.
