Job Title:Junior Controller - Revenue Assurance

Position Summary:


We are recruiting for a Junior Revenue Controller to work from our Horsham site. This role will work closely with the EMEA Revenue Assurance Controller, regional finance & accounting team, the regional controller, the regional team of the global finance solution organization as well as the project management teams. The position holder will report to the Sr. Mgr. Finance Controller CTD EMEA and will be a key member of the CTD EMEA controlling team.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and post monthly journal entries to accrue revenue for services performed but not yet invoiced each month "Unbilled ", Works cross-functionally to determine the accrual or deferral under U.S. GAAP ASC Topic 606.
  • Work with the FP&A teams to resolve any discrepancies in revenue postings, identifying the root cause for discrepancy and assisting to formulate a plan to mitigate and prevent re-occurance.
  • Performs revenue related account reconciliations and ensures compliances with US GAAP, SOX and statutory requirements.
  • Working with the EMEA Revenue Assurance Controller to utilizes process improvement methodologies to identify opportunities for financial improvements and continually review existing processes to minimize and eliminate opportunities for revenue leakage and promote quality assurance and compliance under SOX, USGAAP & statutory laws.
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition under US GAAP. Together with the EMEA Revenue Assurance Controller, set and implement best practices for accounting and financial processes to leverage across the business unit and division.
  • Ensures compliance with U.S. GAAP, U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy and standard operating procedure; recommends changes to strengthen control environment.
  • Ensures compliance with indirect tax regulations and requirements, constantly identifies and implements changes to strengthen controls.
  • Supports all internal and external audits with regards to revenue recognition.
  • Assist the EMEA Revenue Assurance Controller to roll out any commercial contract changes such as new price list, changes to volume and discount schemes etc.
  • Work cross functionally as necessary to implement any required changes to processes or systems.
  • Assists in the preparation of financial statements by performing monthly accounting and closing procedures and ensures journal entries are accurate and timely. Assist in providing backup needed for in balance sheet reviews. Provide the necessary details for transparency of underlying account detail; ensure the adequacy of supporting detail.

CAM & GFT tracking which will include:
  • Update tracking reports monthly for CAM procurement, track CAM goods after 3 month interval and provide information to AR invoicing team to raise VAT credit notes where applicable.
  • Prepare the monthly GFT Tracker for imports utilizing GFT.
  • Track imported goods under GFT using systems and review for goods that are still in inventory > 3 years or duration. Work with Project Manager Group to understand reason for length of storage and where extension of duration needs to be obtained from NIRU.
  • Monthly reconciliation of Deferment Statements to Import Log to calculate reclaim via Horsham VAT Return and recharges to clients.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified.
  • Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Access, and MS PowerPoint are required; skills with Data Warehouse, Oracle, COGNOS, and Visual Basic are preferred.
  • Strong written communication skills, along with clear and concise verbal skills, are required.

  • Understanding of VAT and GFT.
