Analyst

  • Under general direction, responsible the periodic audit and examinations of the firm's various businesses, ensuring risk rating integrity, portfolio quality, completeness of loan documentation, credit policy adequacy and adherence. Recommends changes to management with written analysis of findings.
  • Ensures compliance of loans with internal credit policies and procedures and federal and state banking rules and regulations.
  • Recommends additional documentation, collateral, and other ways in which to improve an existing loan transaction.
  • Responsible for completing Credit Review’s Continuous Monitoring process, which monitors the bank’s lending, counterparty and investment portfolios at least quarterly (or more frequently). Required to complete and submit a formal report to the Head of Risk Control.
  • Frequently interacts with partners in credit and banking during a portfolio audit and with management at affiliate offices in reviewing audit results.
  • Handles all types of analysis and handles complex work.
  • Tasked with assisting in monitoring the Bank’s portfolio regularly and preparing a report presented to Credit Review management.
  • Works on projects and learning project management skills.
  • Requirements

  • 2 or more years of commercial lending and/or capital markets experience, including collateral audit and loan documentation reviews, counterparty credit review experience, etc. BASEL II AIRB implementation experiences a plus.
  • Knowledge of credit analysis, the Corporation’s credit policies, and required loan documentation, usually acquired through work experience and formal education, is required.
  • Strong analytical skills are required to read and interpret credit documentation and to identify potentially negative credit conditions.
  • Proficient in excel (VBA coding preferred)
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
