Accounting Advisor (Global Project/ Program Management)

The Global Operations Accounting (GOA) Systems and Controls team supports the broader GOA team by providing strong cross-functional leadership, by providing exceptional business partnership with the GOA and other teams, and by driving robust, scalable solutions to business opportunities. This candidate may support a combination of the global initiatives we are currently supporting including the UIP (Unified Inventory & Procurement) program in transitioning Dell Technologies to a global inventory management & valuation system of record, the Intercompany Program/Virtual Trader, or the ongoing integration of ISG processes.
As an Accounting Advisor with the GOA Systems & Controls team, the successful candidate will:

• Support the Global Operation Accounting (GOA) UIP Program Manager and UAT coordinator in the successful implementation of the Unified Inventory tool for Global Operations Accounting.
• The Unified Inventory tool is Dell Technologies North Star solution for inventory management, replacing such global tools as Glovia and SAP inventory, AP, and cost.
• This important role will support tracking of testing functionality, documentation of appropriate controls, collection and communication of reporting requirements, and process assessment aligned with the GOA SMEs.
• The successful candidate will support the GOA program leaders in gathering information, coordinating deliverables, and holding team members accountable for tasks.
• This will require regular communicating with the project team, specifically in Global Ops Accounting but often with cross-functional partners.
• The Unified Inventory program is a global project.
• Connected Workplace virtual work locations and flexibility to join calls at various times of day are encouraged.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting with at least 5 years relevant working experience
• Experience in leading projects/ programs and driving them.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills enabling them to work with a variety of GOA team members both directly and virtually.
• Detail oriented and organized in order to support the two product owners.
• Able to work independently; but not be afraid to learn new activities and know when to ask for clarification or support.te
