Site Management Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working on an exclusive basis for a leading FMCG manufacturing business in Manchester as they look to recruit a Site Management Accountant. They are part of a multi-site and multi-operation group spanning across the UK and they are working with expansive client portfolio with some well-known and trusted brands. Reporting into the Supply Chain Finance Manager, you will be the main finance point of contact on site, responsible for producing the monthly management accounting pack for the as well as providing analysis and insight into the accounts in order to minimise costs and maximise profitability. You will be a self starter who always strives to question the norm and always seek ways of improving existing controls and processes to provide best working practice.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

*Finance Business Partner - ability to work autonomously to support the site in all areas of business *Preparation and development of existing daily, weekly and monthly operations management reporting *Responsibility for the preparation of operations, logistics and overhead budget and quarterly forecasts *Verify and challenge the results of all projects *Accounting and analysis of direct and indirect hourly paid labour - a significant area of spend for the business *Management of all stock reporting to ensure materials usage variances are correct, and weekly/monthly stock reconciliations are correctly accounted for *Making any amendments to existing bills of materials within the ERP system *Working with non-finance team members to understand and explain key details in performance variances and presentation to the site leadership team and senior finance *Monthly and weekly preparation of KPI's for the HR and Health & Safety departments *Detailed month end commentary and variance reporting including operational and overhead analysis, to assist with preparation for monthly management pack and presentation to senior management team *Ensuring quarterly reconciliation process is completed, balanced and correct; resolving any issues in advance *Ad-hoc support on supply chain scenario's and supporting analysis across operations

To be considered for this role you MUST have the following skills and experiences:-

*Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) *FMCG or manufacturing industry experience preferable *Meticulous attention to detail *Building relationships outside of finance *Ability to subtly and directly influence others *Comfortable working with ambiguity *High levels of personal integrity *Good levels of learning agility *Hands-on approach *Effective communication
