Client Details

Our client are a PE backed manufacturing business operating from multiple sites in the UK, headquartered in Huddersfield.

Description

The role is newly created, reporting into the Financial Controller and focusing on financial control and governance.

Responsibilities will include;

• Support and development of Accounts Payable & Credit Control staff with ultimate responsibility for their duties
• Control and accounting for the company's balance sheet including:-
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
  • Maintenance of Lease Schedules
  • Control of accruals and prepayments
  • Control of payroll deductions and payment of the same
• Upkeep of weekly site and consolidated cash flow forecasting and related liaison with FC & CFO
• Month end journals
• Quarterly VAT Returns
• Monthly Intrastat submissions
• Management of national statistics
• Preparation of year end statutory accounts
• Ad hoc reporting as required

Profile

To be successful in your application you must be a qualified Accountant who has trained in Practice, and we can consider candidates without industry experience.

You will be technically strong, with expert knowledge of accounting standards and able to partner with stakeholders effectively, especially non-finance colleagues.
