Our Brisbane Region Finance Team are seeking a Full Time Accountant.

Reporting to the Area Financial Controller, your role will be responsible for managing the daily accounting and reporting functions for a portfolio of hotels. You will operate as a hands-on key member of the team, gaining exposure to all areas of accounting work. The position will work collaboratively with the property team, Corporate Head Office and Regional Finance team.

Responsibilities within the role include coordinating and preparing Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet financial statements, preparing accurate reports for management and assisting with monthly forecasting. Other tasks in the role include ensuring accuracy of postings Point of Sale and Property Management System and accounts receivable functions. The position will also involve maintaining Trust Accounts, and the facilitation and management of owner payments for Trust Properties.

The ideal candidate will have multiple years' experience in a similar role, ideally in a hotel or trust and strata accounting environment. We are seeking someone who is CA/CPA Qualified (or currently pursuing to be). Detailed knowledge of accounting systems: Materials Control and previous use of hotel accounting systems would be an advantage. To be successful in this role you will need to work well under pressure, possess a high attention to detail, and a proven aptitude for working with figures.
