The Internal Audit Group consists of 40+ staff spread across various locations. The London team are responsible for providing independent, reliable and timely assurance over the effectiveness of the control environment across multiple global entities.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the timely execution and delivery of the annual IA plan for the firm's subsidiaries across all major business units and product lines in Europe in accordance with IA methodologies and International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IIA).
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the Company's operations and supporting technologies across all major business units and product lines in the UK and other areas as assigned.
  • Support the execution of integrated operational, compliance, financial and regulatory audits (e.g. Sarbanes-Oxley, CFTC System Safeguards, Reg. SCI, etc.) for ICE subsidiaries in Europe, UAE, Singapore and other ICE parent and subsidiary locations as assigned.
  • Responsible for all aspects of audit including audit planning, execution, and reporting results to management.
  • Performing independent appraisal of the design and operational effectiveness of policies and procedures.
  • Performing and maintaining risk assessments for subsidiary audits and communicating the audit requirement to the Senior Director.
  • Communicating and determining resource requirements necessary to carry out assigned audits and maintain oversight of internal and external resources.
  • Communicating identified control deficiencies to management effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Maintaining effective relationships with management for assigned business areas.
  • Drafting or reviewing audit reports and conducting exit conferences with management to discuss findings and management's response.
  • Assisting in drafting periodic reports to subsidiary boards, audit committees and management summarizing results of audit activities.
  • Assist in coordinating response to regulatory enquiries on all IA related matters.
  • Leading a team at various levels e.g. (Manager, Principal, Senior Auditor, Internal Auditor) within the London IA team, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality assurance activities provided.
  • Traveling to other locations as required for internal audit and training purposes.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree or higher required with a commitment to maintaining or obtaining appropriate professional certifications (ACA, CIA, CPA, CFE, CISA, or CRCM).
  • Extensive experience in Internal Audit or equivalent experience within a financial services environment
  • Extended experience in auditing Risk Management, e.g. Counterparty Credit Risk, Stress/Back Testing, Default Management, Liquidity Management, Initial Margining etc.
  • Knowledge and experience of Model Risk or Financial Risk Management (FRM) is desired.
  • Must demonstrate quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in regulatory engagements and interaction is desired.
  • Knowledge of financial company regulations and regulatory auditing standards preferred.
  • Experience in auditing exchanges, clearinghouses, or financial services regulation is desired.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills with appropriate attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of audit management software is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 15-25 %; including internationally.

  • Extensive knowledge of and skill in applying internal auditing and accounting principles and practices, and management principles and preferred business practices.
  • Extensive knowledge of risk management and control techniques and working knowledge of contemporary control frameworks.
  • Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices
  • Working knowledge of control and risk self-assessment facilitation techniques.
  • Considerable knowledge of industry program policies, procedures, regulations, and laws in the UK and Europe.
  • Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
  • Extensive skill in planning and project management, and in maintaining composure under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Considerable skill in conflict resolution, mediation, negotiating issues, and resolving problems.
  • Skill in using a computer with word processing, spreadsheet, systems documentation, audit management packages, and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries, and analyses.
  • Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with customers, co-workers, staff, and external contacts, and work effectively in a professional team environment.
  • Experience in industry, operations, management, auditing, or accounting, and in supervising and conducting audits of information systems or other areas pertinent to the industry preferred.
