Tax Senior

A highly successful accountancy practice, based in Plymouth, is searching for a Tax Senior to join their team to manage the provision of personal tax services to their varied client base, in a mixed role, with increasing responsibility, client contact and involvement in advisory and planning work on offer. A highly successful accountancy practice, based in Plymouth, with a wide ranging client base of both corporate, owner managed businesses, wide ranging in industry size and complexity, alongside a significant personal and private client tax base of wide ranging individuals, director and high net worth clients. The tax team delivers a quality compliance service, along with a focus on planning and advisory services and you will benefit from exposure to a wide spectrum of tax work, where you will be encouraged to develop your technical and wider professional skills.

Description

Joining as a Tax Senior, based from the firms Plymouth offices, you will be responsible for the provision of compliance services, to a wide range of clients, across personal tax cases, with further involvement in planning and advisory work. Over time alongside the compliance focus you will get increasing opportunity for involvement and assisting in tax planning projects, dealing with clients and be encouraged to develop your skills and career, with the support of managers and partners. You will work with the Tax manager on further the development of the department and carve a key role, within this successful tax team, with the opportunity to progress your career.

Profile

You will either have a background specialising in tax so far, with at least 3 years or more, within an accountancy practice environment, preparing personal tax returns in a compliance focused role around the Tax Senior, or similar levels. Or you may have a more mixed, all round grounding within accountancy practice so far, having prepared year end accounts, tax and wider service delivery and have a clear and genuine interest in specialising within a tax career moving forward. You may therefore be any of AAT or ATT qualified, or studying ATT,CTA, ACA or ACCA. Or you may be experienced only to date and you will be looking to carve a key position in a tax department of a well regarded, growing firm of chartered accountant.

Job Offer

Circa £20,000 - £26,000 or more, dependent on experience and background, negotiable, plus benefits.
