Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician
An Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician is required to join a growing firm of chartered accountants based in Teignmouth. You will be joining an expanding team and business in a varied role with all around involvement across accounts, tax and other wide ranging service provision progressing in this business with increasing responsibility, support and development on offer.

The firm acts for wide ranging clients in sector and turnovers across varied sole trader, partnership and limited company clients. Joining as an Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician based at their Teignmouth offices, you will have a hands on role preparing accounts, tax and general accountancy practice responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Clients are varied across industry and turnover and the firm is undergoing, continued positive growth with plans for future development and expansion. - Preparing a range of year end accounts for wide ranging clients, varying in sectors and turnovers
- VAT returns
- Self-assessment tax returns
- Corporation tax returns
- Management accounts
You will be an Assistant Accountant / Accounts Technician or similar level professional, as an AAT qualified technician, or AAT level 3 or 4, or perhaps studying ACCA or looking to build further on your experience following qualifying AAT, with career background working within accountancy practice. As a necessity you will have at least 2 - 4 years or more experience within accountancy practice, preparing accounts, tax and other responsibilities for a mixed client base of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You will be looking for challenging, long term career move within a genuinely growing and expanding firm of chartered accountants, offering progression and career development.
£18,000 - £25,000 plus benefits and support.
