The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical and professional expertise in management accounting.

• • Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
  • Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
  • Support the coordination of annual audits and assist Finance Controller with conducting .audits.
  • Provide input into the department's goal-setting process.
  • Implement accounting policies, procedures, regulations and standards for operation and control purposes.
  • Apply budgeted funds for operations and development as per budget allocation.
  • Interpreting and implementing financial regulations and procedures, Treasury circulars, letters and instructions;
  • Developing supplementary financial regulations and procedures to enhance internal controls.
  • Maintaining appropriate and up to date accounting records.
  • Preparing management and statutory reports which include monthly Expenditure returns, monthly bank reconciliations, revenue/AIA returns, Cash flow statements, analysis of deposits and final accounts;
  • Assisting in the Administration of the Accounting Department
  • Providing advisory services to the Accounting Officer and other stake holders on all financial and accounting matters in the Company
  • Development of supplementary financial regulations and procedures to enhance internal controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent
• Should have worked in similar position for at least 2 Years
• CPA (K) or ACCA Finalist will be an added advantage.
• Experience with financial reporting requirements
• Solid Accounting Knowledge.
• Solid Knowledge in Taxation and legal framework.
• Able to thrive in a KPI and Target driven environment
• Able to motivate the team and lead by example
• Proven experience as an accountant.
• Excellent organizing abilities.
• Great attention to detail.
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP and Quick Books).
• Excellent Communicator.
