A global trading firm is looking for a VP, Counterparty Risk to join their team in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle credit & counterpart risk analysis and propose risk mitigation strategies
- Perform balance sheet analysis for customers and portfolio analysis
- Work closely with regional teams to understand different products and market conditions
- Coordinate with IT teams to drive enhancement of risk systems
- Interact with senior management and influence risk mitigation measures
- Oversight of offshore team members to ensure accuracy and quality of risk reporting and analysis
- Work with multiple trading teams to drive trading and risk management ideas
Key Requirements:
- Min. Bachelor Degree
- At least 8- 15 years' counterparty risk/ credit approval experience working with large corporates in banks, rating agencies or trading companies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders across various functions
- Strong understanding of commodity markets & standard global trade terms
- Financial modelling skills
