Curtiss-Wright are a global corporation providing manufacturing and support services to the Aerospace, Defence, Industrial, Nuclear and Commercial markets, with lineage tracing back to the Wright Brothers and man's first powered flight in December 1903.CCRS Ltd. specifically are a service provider of specialist sacrificial coating application for both OEM's and engine overhaul providers, within the aerospace and Oil/Gas markets. We also provide repair/overhaul services on engine run components.CCRS Ltd. have a total headcount of approx. 75 personnel split across two locations - Glasgow, Scotland and Alfreton, Derbyshire. The business was established in 1995 and was subsequently acquired by Curtiss-Wright in 2014. CCRS Ltd. have a vacancy for a Business Unit Accountant.The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties, across both the Glasgow and Alfreton divisions. The role will be primarily based in Alfreton, Derbyshire but may require travel to the Glasgow Business Unit at times to support specific activities.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
  • Preparation & Analysis of monthly Management Accounts to strict deadlines
  • Preparation of Monthly Forecasts & Snapshots
  • Management, training & development of accounts team including purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control functions
  • Liaise with managers and department heads to report & interpret financial information and suggest courses of action
  • Preparation of monthly forecasts & snapshots
  • KPI & variance analysis
  • Monthly submission of labour hours to payroll
  • Intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Revaluation of balance sheet accounts
  • Asset register maintenance
  • Depreciation & amortisation
  • Expenses/P11D returns
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accruals & Prepayments
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • VAT returns
  • Preparation of audit schedules
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and valuations
  • Assist CW Tax Manager including accounting for Corporation Tax and completing schedules as required
  • Assist with annual budget preparation
  • Point of contact for internal and external finance audits
  • Maintenance of Sage 50 Accounts
  • Implementation of new corporate accounting system (Syteline)
  • Developing accounting procedures and systems
  • Reporting to and assisting European/US Corporate as required
  • Support BU Manager with on-boarding and off-boarding of personnel as required - Interviewing/Administrative Duties
  • Manage and report on monthly 'Collections' activity in collaboration with Customer Support Manager
  • Support BU Manager with preparation and collation of Month End reporting inputs
  • Support BU Manager with other admin/management duties as/when needed
QUALIFICATIONS: AAT Level 4 (Minimum)EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous Book Keeping and Accounting experience in a similar role is essential
  • Previous experience of leading a small/medium team of admin resources is desirable
  • Previous experience of working with SAGE 50 is desirable
