Job Description

Business Overview & Role Description:

The AWM Head of Financial Analysis will be responsible for overall business intelligence reporting, management information, earnings and competitor analysis support for AWM covering all businesses and functions. This role will report to AWM CFO and will be jointly accountable to the Head of Firm wide P&A.

Core Activities:
  • Planning & Analysis: Managing the AM, GPB and AWM Center P&A teams building key processes and systems to ensure timely, robust, accurate and relevant analysis and information provided to business heads, CFOs and Corp P&A leads, as well as Business Management, Product Controllers and other stakeholders. Key focus will be on developing the analytical capabilities of the organization to enhance AWM business-focused support while simultaneously managing the demands of core P&A deliverables for AWM and Corporate. Includes ownership of the budget and forecasting processes, revenue control, expense management (including assisting with enforcement of AWM™s expense policy), as well as a number of other key business metrics and processes.
  • MIS Platforms and Data Management: Deliver reliable, accurate and timely reporting solutions across AWM front office and support functions. Key reporting functions include client analytics, P&L, headcount, scorecards, regulatory and support for planning & outlook.
  • Dashboarding: Delivering MIS and data analytics, both financial and operational metrics, in a Tableau format for management, multiple layers of leadership and across F&BM
  • Location Strategy: working closely with relevant business and CFOs across the globe to identify space efficiencies for AWM locations
  • Ad-hoc review of potential new business opportunities
  • Attracting, developing and retaining a team of world class finance professionals

Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of finance and overall business management experience in a complex financial organization
  • Outstanding analytical and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to act independently with excellent decision making skills
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects and initiatives at same time
  • Strong leadership skills with experience working in a demanding global environment
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, issue resolution and negotiation
  • Ability to lead internal reviews and assessment across organization to determine business and financial choices required to achieve objectives and goals
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risk based on company and industry guidelines
  • Ability to build and motivate high performance teams with a global focus
  • Superior verbal and written communication especially with senior level management
  • Proven experience of delivering results and large amounts of data in digestible formats
  • Knowledge of MIS, accounting, product/client profitability, activity based costing, project management, transfer pricing / revenue sharing
  • Results oriented background with ability to identify opportunities to innovate and process improve
  • Experience of working with matrix structures and across multiple locations
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Excel, Powerpoint (preferred)
  • Candidate should be adaptable, creative, and personable
