Private Bank Lead analyst will be responsible for supporting Global LFO with analysis and insight into Private Bank financial & key return metrics. This position supports critical processes within Private Bank FP&A including forward looking projections alongwith responsibility for management reporting and preparing materials for Senior Management Reviews, Quarterly earnings, Business Offsites as well as sharing insights into business performance and major product drivers.

Responsibilities Includes:
  • Provide support & insights for regular senior management financial reviews (e.g., Monthly or Quarterly Business Reviews, Outlooks, Plan, MYF, Earnings.)
  • Provide detailed deep dive of month-end/quarter-end results and all forward looking deliverables, including adhoc analysis to Global LFO
  • Lead forward looking process like Outlook, Plan & MYF and related review materials in conceptualizing & designing aspects to enable guided discussions.
  • Present to Global LFO on monthly/ quarterly basis on the financial performance, forward looking views and tracking actuals to the same
  • Liaison with Global product teams viz; Banking, Lending & Investments in preparing CCAR Business Engagement deck for senior management reviews.
  • Oversee and manage Private Bank Expenses globally. Requires liaison with regional Private Bank and expense sector team. Includes maintaining oversight of the Investment & productivity measures across regions.
  • Monitor monthly movement of expenses vis a vis OLK and Plan and work with regions to provide analytical insights to Global LFO.
  • Provide expense insights to Expense sector teams during each Outlook cycle.
  • Suggest & participate in initiatives driven by global team to reduce Direct expenses.
  • Responsible for updating scorecard metrics like Client revenue, New Client acquisition & % Grow clients for Global and regional CEOs
  • Participate in strategy and re-engineering discussions - in addition to basic finance responsibilities
  • Recommend enhanced analytics and cost saving ideas to achieve productivity targets
  • Assist with various projects to enhance efficiency of financial processes and increase the informative value of the content provided to senior management
  • End-to-end ownership and coordination for production of the annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plan in alignment with the strategy of the business

Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant Finance/Accounting/Business experience in Financial Services.
  • Excellent presentation skills; the ability to translate complex financial schedules into meaningful presentations is critical; demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to draw conclusions and drive decision making.
  • Knowledge of Citi Financial systems (FRM, SMARTVIEW, Pearl, etc.) will be plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must have a balance of assertiveness, discretion to be a credible and sought after resource
  • Must have the confidence to stand up to pressure and the credibility to influence others.
  • Demonstrated skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to be effective and persuasive with all levels of management.
  • Strong ability to build key relationships with senior finance and other business executives.
  • Must be able to present technical matters in a way that is meaningful to the audience.
  • Highly motivated, participative team player with a significant change agent, leadership mentality.
