Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Real Estate Reporting, the Financial Analyst, Real Estate Investment Reporting will be responsible for the production oversight, process management and quality control for reporting on third party real estate investment products. Such reporting will include monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, consultant questionnaires and internal reporting in support of portfolio management, sales, and marketing. As part of these duties the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that information being sent to both internal and external parties, is accurate, consistent, controlled and has sufficient supporting evidence. The candidate must be organized and have proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the Fund and client snapshot.
  • Prepare quarterly internal and external reporting package.
    • Prepare the Investment Management reports.
    • Prepare consultant questionnaires.
    • Prepare ad hoc reporting in support of sales and marketing.
    • Completion of quality controls on internal reporting.
    • Prepare ad hoc reporting in line with client and internal requirements.
  • Assist with Portfolio management to review the monthly and quarterly external report.
  • Coordinate between fund performance, Fund accountant and finance team regarding the month-end and quarter-end reporting.
  • Keep and maintain financial records including accruals, reconciliation on monthly basis.
  • Monitor activities in Fund, income and expenses, fees, capital transfers and performance.
  • Prepare and aid in review of the NAV, Valuation and TA process (Ownership, Capital Queue, Capital Calls and Distributions).
  • Preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end property accounting oversight including financial statements according to accounting standards and conducts comprehensive business focus variance analysis and commentaries regarding variance analysis.
  • Create and monitor cash flow projections, prepare cash call and distribution instructions
  • Assist in the accounting of property acquisitions and dispositions and participate in the due diligence and statement of adjustment phases, as required.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement ideas and participate in special projects for the ongoing advancement of best-in-class capabilities and service excellence
  • Ability to work well with multiple teams
  • Support other Fund related initiatives as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in business, finance, accounting, or real estate management required.
  • Designation such as CPA, CFA an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with exposure to the real estate Financial reporting.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams working in multiple geographies.
  • Ability to work in a challenging, professional, and fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills, with advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of Workiva, Yardi and Vermillion, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator experience preferred.
  • High technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point.
  • Knowledge of financial and real estate markets.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and effective problem-solving skills.
