About the Role:

A key role within the finance function currently exists for an experienced Asset Accountant. With responsibility for leading the asset accounting and reporting operations and maintaining accounting records, you will be a specialist in your field operating independently to achieve outcomes. This position is also responsible for managing accounting methodologies and business rules and making recommendations to the senior leadership team. Moreover, you will consult with other stakeholders within Finance and the Risk Directorate to agree on a suitable course of action when dealing with sensitive, high risk or business critical matters.

About You:

• Tertiary qualified in Accounting with current CPA, CA or equivalent

• Possess a good understanding of internal controls and governance

• Extensive operational, asset accounting and financial reporting experience, including prior experience in the requirements and implications of FRD103H Non-Financial physical assets

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to translate complex material into meaningful information for end users

• Highly developed analytical capability and ability to apply strategic thinking and problem solving to financial reporting and analysis

• Experience with any ERP package (SAP, Oracle) and an advanced level of Excel proficiency will be highly regarded
