The Building Audit business unit is a fast-paced and dynamic team who measure and monitor the quality and compliance of building practitioner's work in Victoria relating to adherence with the Building Act (the Act), Regulations and National Construction Code (NCC).

In this role, your primary responsibility is to assist in delivering technical knowledge and application to the inspection, assessment and reporting of building issues for the VBA's Building Audit activity. This position supports the Manager Building Audit to ensure the operational function is being carried out with technical accuracy.
Who we are looking for
  • Experience in assisting conducting site inspections and audits in a regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of the NCC, the Act, Regulations, standards and construction practices in Victoria
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people and prepare detailed and accurate reports
  • Tertiary qualifications in building surveying or working towards
