Amane Advisors is a highly successful management consultancy business focused on the water and environmental sectors with offices in 6 countries and employing 40 people. Founded over 10 years ago, Amane is led by a team of 6 Partners and due to significant growth has created the new role of Finance Director to support and drive further expansion.
Reporting to the Senior Partner based in the UK you will lead a finance team located in France and take full responsibility for all aspects of finance as well as having a broader remit overseeing HR and Marketing. The role is extremely varied and entails all statutory requirements including preparing and submitting monthly and annual financial statements and filings across multiple legal entities and cashflow and working capital management as well as adding significant commercial input via efficient and effective analysis and reporting (planning, monthly actual and target/actual analyses) to create the necessary transparency for decision making. You will evaluate different budget scenarios at country and global level, providing different perspectives and making recommendations on how to handle the various situations and provide pro-active support and guidance to the Partners both individually and as a group to help achieve budget targets.
Other aspects of the role will include overseeing all administration processes, including management of the ERP system, HR administration, expenses etc and implementing sustainable practices and processes. You will take a lead on strategy development and support regular strategy reviews, with ownership of financial considerations and guidance on implications for growth initiatives and provide ad hoc input into financial models built as part of the core consultancy work.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with previous experience in a similar level role and be able to demonstrate exposure to leading a finance function and managing across disciplines as well the commercial acumen to challenge the business where required. Although specific sector experience is not required it would be highly beneficial to have worked in a business that operates across multiple countries. Your financial knowledge and creative approach to problem-solving will be of huge benefit to your new colleagues and you will build relationships which promote trust, confidence and respect.
In return you will join a growing company that seeks people with a relentless curiosity and which values individual differences.
