This is a fantastic opportunity to join our awesome Finance Team as they continue their exciting new transformation journey! We are looking for a super-analytical Finance Analyst to become a key member of our team. You will be designing management information packs to support business decision-making and populating MI packs with reconciliations of data to accounts. This is an excellent career opportunity to develop and maintain a proactive service, gain exposure to leading Business Intelligence techniques and provide accurate statutory financial information to the Senior Management Team and External partners.

What does your typical day look like?

Production of the balance sheet and P&L accounts:
  • Submission to group via AXA's consolidation system
  • Support analytical review of accounts
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliation

Preparation of schedules for regulators and other external parties (e.g. FCA, auditors)
  • Preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Perform variance analysis
  • Production of commentary schedules for management and group
  • Liaise with business managers to ensure accuracy and suitability of budgets

Promotion and change management within the finance function, working with all colleagues in a collaborative style:
  • Perform monthly permanent control checks for Group
  • Perform ad-hoc internal control checks as deemed appropriate by the Compliance, Risk and Internal Control Department.
  • Support other areas of the finance team during times of low staff resource or staff absence

About you:

You are highly analytical and part-qualified Accountant ACCA / CIMA / ACA/ Overseas equivalent.

You are self-motivated and comfortable with supporting change in a rapidly evolving environment. Your passion for people and finance comes naturally to you. You thrive in a place where you can feel like you're part of a family and grow your career.

Your positive attitude and ambition to progress alongside your technical abilities in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access will help you succeed in this role.
