The Role Responsibilities

Strategy
  • Able to prepare learning decks and communication material for the wider stakeholders of the project
  • Communication skills and an ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organisation

Business
  • Needs to have an excellent understanding of sourcing information from various data sources, and in several cases utilizing CDD reports.

Processes
  • Project Management capability particularly on integrating solutions where there are no clear answers

People and Talent
  • Proactive approach, with the ability to multi-task.
  • Attention to detail

Risk Management
  • Relevant experience in AML/KYC and/or client on-boarding, from banking and/or financial services sector

Governance
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements relating to CDD/AML and internal procedures

Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key Stakeholders
  • Customer Due Diligence Teams in CCIB and Retail Banking

Other Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibilities are to (a) ensure accurate and timely completion of Project updates from the Countries and (b) prepare and maintain spreadsheets to track project progress on CCIB and Retail Banking
  • Assist in project governance related updates and filing of PSC, PWG decks and minutes
  • Assist with the GIA team to complete the review of the project methodology, project progress and the project outcome
  • Create & maintain a project repository of documents where countries can update their progress
  • Primary owner for the Assurance of the project progress, meet all requirements of all stakeholders from CFCC Assurance and GIA
  • Engage with Regional Retail Ops teams and IMO as required to obtain any missing documentation.
  • Facilitate the solution of the Transaction Monitoring process for the clients in the project scope and follow-through to completion of the reviews
  • Establish and develop effective working relationship with stakeholders.
  • Promote the spirit of continuous improvement by flagging any procedural issues that impact delivery of responsibilities with suggestions improvements and work around.
  • Operate and manage the Project Working Groups, provide the necessary backup support and documentation
  • Enable final recommendations from the relevant teams to proceed/not proceed on accounts submitted for Account Opening or Periodic Review


Our Ideal Candidate

  • At least 7 years of experience.
  • Should have experience as Business Analyst in AML/Compliance along with data analytics & MI experience.
  • Experience into Project management (added advantage)
  • Its a direct contractor role for 6 months
