An exciting opportunity has become available for a Finance Systems Business Analyst to join our Finance team with flexible work opportunities to work from home or in the Gold Coast Office.

The focus of this position is to work closely with the business unit leaders to gain in-depth understanding of the financials, customer business strategy, processes, services and provide insights to the context in which the business operates. This role will also be responsible for our Finance Systems with a focus on improviding existing processes and documenting the capabilities needed to address business challenges.

In this position, you will be able to

identify and address operational, financial and technological risks and use your exceptional problem solving skills to identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects to assisting on other projects which may be larger or more complex projects related to operational business functions that affect team members and providers at the market level.

Reporting to our Financial Controller - Shared Services, in this role you will;
  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in Information Systems and apply this to the development, execution and improvement of action plans by providing advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices
  • Measure and analyses the accuracy of the business monthly/ quarterly full year forecasting from revenue to EBITDA performance
  • Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results
  • Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships
  • Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level
  • Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process
  • Analyse and synthesize business requirements, including recognizing patterns and conceptualizing processes
What we need from you
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Business or a relevant qualification in Systems or Data
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an accountancy or finance analyst position
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Great Plains
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and work with large amounts of data through collaboration with multiple teams
  • Advanced Excel skills and exposure to Calumo preferred
  • Understanding of SQL, Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence interfaces
  • High level of numerical skills, high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skill and multi-tasking ability
