Description

Reporting directly to the Audit Partner, joining as Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager / Manager, you will be responsible for managing, controlling and conducting the audit fieldwork for a diverse range of clients, from £5 - £50 million turnover. Clients are varied across a wide spectrum of industries to include manufacturing, property, construction, tourism, leisure, charities and others. Around 80% of your role will be focused in audit and alongside this element, you will also have scope to develop relationships with clients, adding value and working with clients on advisory projects. The other element of your role will also include preparation of financial statements for non-audit clients, preparing accounts and other responsibilities - up to around 20% of the role. You will also manage and develop junior members of the team. You will assist the Audit Partner in developing the department together with proposals for new work and have involvement in networking with the business communities across the region.

Profile

You will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with a background of working within an audit and accounts team, in an accountancy practice environment. Your background may have been gained within either small, medium, larger independent practice environment, or Top 50, Mid or Top Tier firm background. Given the scope of the role and positive developments within the team, individuals across a range of experience are invited to apply. You may be recently qualified, or with 1-2 years or more post qualified experience and be operating as an Audit and Accounts Assistant Manager / Manager, so viable for Senior, through to Supervisor or Assistant Manager/Manager level individuals.
You will have a good level of knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing Standards and be looking to progress in your accountancy practice career, within a leading, Devon firm of chartered accountants, based in Exeter.

Job Offer

£30,000 - Circa £40,000 dependent on experience and background, plus benefits.
