The Apartment Group is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their Head Office team. The role is based in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne working for the multi award winning venues, including 'Newton Hall', 'Le Petit Chateau' and 'As You Like It'. 'Jesmond Beachbox' is one of our exciting venues and we are also able to announce two brand new wedding venues, 'Runa Farm' and 'Whitworth Estate', set to launch next year.
The Role
Reporting to the group Financial Controller, you will collate monthly management accounts for several sites across the Group. This will include use of Sage, preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations and assisting with year end audit. A good standard of excel is required and experience of Zonal Till systems would be an advantage but not essential.
The role will be wide ranging, and will include some more hands-on support to the wider financial management team. This will require the provision of accurate and timely financial management information to support the aims and objectives of the business.
The successful candidate would be exposed to a broad range of tasks, enabling them to gain valuable experience in a dynamic, entrepreneurial working environment,
Your Profile
You should be a part-qualified accountant who thrives in taking responsibility for their role, with a 'can do' attitude and an eye for detail. An intelligent, trustworthy and reliable individual, who can work under pressure in support of the business objectives.
Ideally you will have gained experience of working in the leisure industry and you should be able to demonstrate the resourcefulness and initiative to find solutions to issues that might arise within your workload. Strong communication skills and the ability to handle your own workload are important.
Salary up to £23k, depending on experience.
