Partner Designate / Partner

Michael Page is partnering with a leading, regional firm chartered accountants looking to recruit a Partner Designate / Partner, based in Yeovil as a combined result of succession planning and planning for further growth, building on sustained ongoing growth and expansion. You will manage a sizeable client portfolio and looking to play a lead role in the further growth of this highly successful accountancy firm.

The firm has an excellent reputation across Somerset, wider UK, along with international networks. Due to a strategy to plan for ongoing growth, development and with succession to plan for within the firms Yeovil operations, the partners and board are looking for the right individual who can lead the development and growth of this office, as well as managing a large portfolio. The firm's clients are wide ranging in sector, turnover and industry range, from entrepreneurial start-ups, sole traders, partnerships and significant proportion of OMBs and SMEs, ranging from into the £millions in turnover, to considerably larger corporate clients. Entry at equity level, or salaried options are equally of interest to investigate, dependent on the motivations and level of the right candidate.

Description

Joining this firm as a Partner Designate / Partner, dependent on the background of the right candidate you will bring a career strength and background as an all-round accounts, tax, audit etc adviser to sole traders, partnerships and mix of limited company OMBs, groups, subsidiaries, charities, not for profit and other clients. You will manage a sizable fee base of clients, in a client facing advisory capacity and all round advisor, looking to develop relationships with the clients and drive the growth of this office for the future in a business development focused capacity. The right individual will look to advise clients on a wide ranging, accounting, tax, business planning, profitability maximisation, succession, share options, etc as a trusted go to advisor. You will manage the wider team and oversee the delivery of compliance and advisory projects, working with the wider management and support team on this. The office has huge potential for further growth and expansion and you will play a lead role in the future development and direction of this already successful firm of accountants.

Profile

You will hold any of ACA /ACCA/ CTA qualified, practising certificate etc, with a strong background in accountancy practice having developed your career to at least Senior Manager level, or more of a direct fit at Associate Director, Partner Designate / Partner or Director level, currently operating on either a salaried, or equity/profit share basis. You will have an all-around general practitioner career background gained within any of small, medium/large size, mid tier, or top tier firm background and you will be seeking a challenging, long term career move in the profession at this level.

Job Offer

Circa £60,000 - £90,000 dependent on the background, experience and level, with both salaried and/or equity options open to explore around the preferences and motivations of the right professional.
