Job Description :
This role will assist the Senior Finance Manager / Associate Director in providing direct support to the Client Servicing Unit (CSU) and Line of Business (LOB) Heads, LOB Leads, Delivery Leads and Center Managers in project financials (including project budgets, forecasts, billings, and project Budget Review Council (BRC), assists Watchlist team for troubled projects financial advisory, and project governance (in terms of project exceptions monitoring, sales registration, project code structure creations, processes and systems relating to projects).

This role will assist the Senior Finance Manager / Associate Director in providing direct support to the Client Servicing Unit (CSU) and Line of Business (LOB) Heads, LOB Leads, Delivery Leads and Center Managers in project financials (including project budgets, forecasts, billings, and project Budget Review Council (BRC), assists Watchlist team for troubled projects financial advisory, and project governance (in terms of project exceptions monitoring, sales registration, project code structure creations, processes and systems relating to projects).
Responsibilities:
- Support business units (eg. CSU) and delivery teams (LOB) in their operations by providing guidance/ information on contract/ project financial management.
- Support the CSU/LOB by providing advisory on the accounting treatment for contracts.
- Ensure that all financial aspects of project execution are on track, including but not limited to monitoring the progress of projects, investigating variances, approving expenses, project budgets, financial updates and forecast of projects.
- Ensure the project governance by enforcing conformity to sales registration and project delivery processes by all CSUs and LOBs.
- Provide report and review with LOB Heads, LOB Leads/Centre Manager (and business ops team) on Project Exceptions and advise on actions to clear the exceptions.
- Provide report and review with LOB Heads, LOB Leads/Centre Manager on outstanding accrued revenue aging and finding reasons for any delay in billings. This is to ensure promptness in project billings to customers to improve cash flow position of the Group.
- Review Contract Cancellation/Termination, Contract Variation & Changes requested by Business and Delivery Centers and recommend follow-up action and seek approval for Agreement cancellation or award.
- Review project health status and alert if any potential risk on onerous and potential loss-making projects. Follow up with Project team on action items such as rectifying the project financials/budget where needed or highlight to Management where necessary.
- Provide governance advice to Project team on project delivery matters such as governance processes, usage of project systems and project monitoring reports.
- Prepare and review month end revenue and cost accruals for projects ensure.
- Manage internal and external auditors' queries and documentation related to projects.
- Conduct/Support training sessions on project governance and financials for Project Managers etc.
- Lead in system process improvements and system enhancements in relation to project financials.
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
The ideal candidate should be / possess:
- At least a Diploma / Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
- At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience
- Strong working knowledge of Finance operations or analysis, project management, process improvement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel-Macro, Word, Powerpoint).
- Organized, detailed, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Independent and strong team player with ability to build rapport and collaborative working relationships with all levels.
- Possess good interpersonal skills and can communicate well (both written and verbal)
- Able to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Aptitude for Automation & Digitalisation initiatives.
- Preferably in an IT MNC environment and has working experience under shared service environment
- Good working knowledge of SAP software/ dashboard/ analytical tools would be an advantage.
