Job Description

Title: Sr Business Analyst - Indirect Tax

Location: Hyderabad, India

Summary of Position

Currently seeking a self-motivated Business Analyst with having strong Indirect Tax background and experience in Indirect tax software with any ERP or Legacy software. In this position, you will work with both internal and external parties to deliver integration solutions, implementation strategies, training materials, and best practices. You will be working closely with the Product Management team, Developers, QA, and Solutions Architect to determine product roadmap, feature set, and timelines.

Responsibilities
  • Execute Product roadmap including patch and maintenance releases, minor functional releases, and new application development.
  • Facilitate, defend and communicate user stories to the development team
  • Maintain solid working relationships with all stakeholders within the organization, including Marketing, Engineering, Customer Support, Sales, Professional Services and Tax Research and Partner relations
  • Support product rollouts and implementations as a domain expert and/or primary business interface to other parties
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through active customer engagements, product life cycle management, and support and assist in providing escalation support and training to customer support, professional services, and integration partners
  • Maintain product documentation such as requirements, mapping documents, release notes.
  • Review the Taxation laws of a country and advise the implementation team on the tax content to be added.
  • Prepare and execute test scripts and test cases and troubleshoot issues related to the tax treatments as reported by the users.

Qualifications
  • CA or CPA or MBA with Accounting and Tax or equivalent working experience
  • 7+ years of experience combining analysis, design, configuration, and implementation of large-scale eCommerce and/or ERP Integrations or other integrations with a strong tax background and with experience of configuring tax software.
  • Experience with integrating third-party enterprise tax products (e.g. Indirect Tax Determination, Taxware and/or Vertex) is highly desired.
  • Experience with ONESOURCE Indirect Tax - preferred.
  • Must have expertise in Europe VAT or US taxation or India taxation.
  • Must be able to demonstrate analytical/critical thinking
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal
  • Experience in Agile methodologies
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Jira experience - preferred
  • SOAP UI,SQL,XML skills - Preferred
