Accountant

Due to a period of growth my client requires an extra pair of hands to assist a busy finance team in an ongoing contract with a high chance of going permanent.

Working for a well known Australian International Mining Services business this is a chance to step into commerce or advance your career through backing yourself and making a success of this contract opportunity. The work will be varied, challenging and fast-paced where you will have to be able to think on your feet.

You will have free on-site parking and flexible working hours.

Key Responsibilities
• Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the full monthly management reporting cycle including reporting, analysis of results and commentary
• Hands-on duties including month-end journals and b/s reconciliations
• Assist with half and full year financial audits
• Assist in the preparation of the annual report and half year report
• Provide ongoing technical advice to colleagues on existing accounting standards
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis where required non financial stakeholders as well as the finance team

Key Requirements
• Qualified Accountant with a strong technical accounting skill set
• Audit training and background preferred but not essential
• Strong intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Effective communications skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced and changing working environment
• Back yourself in a contract to permanent 'try before you buy' opportunity
