Our FP&A team is seeking a talented Finance Manager to lead the overall expense side of VMware's Real Estate & Workplace (REW), including financial planning, ongoing reporting, forecasting, and long-range outlook. The Finance Manager is a high visibility role that will collaborate closely with several VPs on the FP&A executive leadership team to provide effective decision support. This is a phenomenal opportunity for someone who is hungry to learn how Real Estate and Facilities really works within VMware.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with the full Finance team to lead/facilitate the Close/Forecast/Plan consolidation process for REW
- Monthly spend and HC reports, including variance analysis, and forecast revisions
- Interface with internal and external stakeholders on capex and opex spend
- FP&A business partnering - advising on investment and spending decisions as they relate to REW deals and operations, engage in thorough analysis to be able to speak to these investment decisions
- Business partnering - understand the business ask and be able to advise on financial impact, ability to influence the business on making the right decisions
- Support Global Site Strategy VP on Future of Work rollout within REW
- Manage and mentor financial analyst(s) to help drive business results
- Lead EMEA on monthly finance cadence - close, forecasting and adhoc analysis on both Capex and Opex as well as planning
- Manage EMEA real estate projects: working with stakeholders (operations, business, vendors, sourcing, etc) to track capex spend, accruals, reporting to exec team
- Develop, implement and revise quantitative models that enable you to
- Produce accurate forecasts,
- Help prioritize projects and other investments
- Assess and minimize risk exposure while discovering or enhancing opportunities
- Deliver meaningful insights and yet simplify complex problems
- Provide effective decision support to business partners
- Create presentations to effectively deliver your results, recommendations and ideas
- Communicate Finance's policies, procedures, requirements and targets to business partners
- Improve existing business processes and create new ones as needed; seek out and implement best practices
- Perform ad hoc requests for financial data and analysis
Experience & Education:
- 8 years+ experience in financial planning and analysis with emphasis on bottom-line
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business
- Top Tier University MBA preferred
- Background in FP&A partnering in India for a multinational company; ideally in IT or facilities functions, but R&D also good
- Preferable experience in technology industry
- Solid Knowledge on accounting principles
- Expert in complex financial modelling using Excel
- Ability to do to analyses "on-the-spot" with team and finance executives
- Ability to instantly flag issues, and propose ways to address them
- Strong and independent analytical thinker and influencer
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to dive into the details in order to make improvements or understand results
- Systems: Experience with Hyperion Planning, SAP or other planning tools a plus; Ability to handle large data sets in Excel through use of Pivot Tables
