Who we are looking for
The State Street Global Transactions Control and Banking - Payments team is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to direct Business User Acceptance Testing activities across all systems associated with the core banking infrastructure. You must have a strong understanding of the global payments infrastructure as well as the various modernization initiatives across markets and Financial Market Utilities. You have extensive experience and demonstrated ability to act as a liaison between operational, project and technology teams, vendors and external industry groups working on large scale cross-platform high risk projects.
What you will be responsible for
As a Senior Business Analyst you will: Actively attain SME level knowledge and understanding of business processes and flows via in-depth analysis of workflows and Standard Operating ProceduresHost interviews and deep dive sessions in order to understand and document business use casesDevelop a thorough test strategy and plan that is both efficient and encompasses all desired functionality and workflowsBe the voice of the business, articulate and champion business requirementsCollaborate across teams to coordinate testing activities across platformsClearly and concisely communicate defects and expected results to IT and project partnersAssess business impact of all identified defects and recommend prioritizationActively participate in operational readiness activities including planning, training and documentationBuild meaningful and effective relationships with business, project and IT teams across the organizationThink outside the box to identify and recommend opportunities to improve operational workflows through technologyDevelop and distribute business user acceptance testing metricsPerform business user acceptance testingTriage post implementation issues and defects, monitor resolution and coordinate re-testing effortsDevelop and manage testing schedule and activities for all analysts on the teamCoordinate and manage all external testing applicable to State Street’s infrastructure e.g. SWIFT Standards, CHAPS, LVTS etc

These skills will help you succeed in this role Exceptional operational and IT knowledge and understanding of the global payments infrastructure including SWIFT (MT, ISO20022), LYNX/LVTS, CHAPS, FED, CHIPS etc.Understanding of liquidity management principles and processes as it relates to global payment settlement systems and correspondent banking modelsProven ability to influence courageously at all level, excellent interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to manage testing activities in large scale corporate projects and a strong understanding of structured quality assurance practicesExcellent problem solving and analytical skills, attention to detail and organizationSelf-starter with an aptitude to troubleshoot and learn independentlyExtensive hands-on experience managing large projects with competing priorities and diverse stakeholders
Education & Preferred Qualifications University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or relevant professional experiencePMP designation preferred7+ years experience in the payments industry, managing testing/implementation activities for large scale enterprise projects with diverse stakeholdersYou can demonstrate in-depth knowledge of payments infrastructure, SWIFT network, Fed and CHIPS messaging
