About your opportunity

Covering an area of approximately 300,000 square kilometres and servicing many of the remote communities within North-Western Queensland and the Gulf of Carpentaria, the North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) is responsible for the health promotion and wellbeing of people within the service area and ensuring that effective, high quality services are accessible to all.

This role will:
  • Provide audit and evaluation expertise, coordination and management to staff of the North West Hospital and Health Service supporting the function of the Safety, Quality and Risk Service to ensure safe practice and high-quality outcomes.
  • Promote and support a culture that encourages best practice, continuous improvement and a commitment to the delivery of safe, quality healthcare services.
  • Be responsible for the coordination, monitoring and management of organisational risk across all areas of the North West Hospital and Health Service.

Requirements:
  • Proof of tertiary degree qualification and, if applicable, registration, membership or licencing with the applicable board, authority or association are mandatory requirements for this role.
  • Possession of post-graduate qualifications in a business- or finance-related discipline would be very well regarded.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role.

Fixed Term Temporary

(Commencing ASAP up to 31/07/2021, 60.8 hours per fortnight - with the possibility of extension)

Generous remuneration package comprising:
  • Salary range between $34.06 - $50.06 p.h. (HP3) or $47.68 - $51.05 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6-Band 1)
  • Annual recreational leave p.a. with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.
