Job Description:

Delivering excellence as an Payroll Manager within Capita HR Solutions:

We currently have an exciting role for a highly experienced Payroll Advisor or Manager, to join our exciting Belfast based team. Supporting the Service Delivery Manager the Payroll Manager will have overall responsibility for the management and operational control of a high quality outsourced payroll service this covers all aspects of payroll including the HR administration input.

You will ensure that all expenditure processed through the payroll is in accordance with client policies, Inland Revenue statutory legislation and AE duties.

This role provides a real opportunity to make a significant contribution to thr successful running of the team

What you'll be doing:

  • To ensure that employees of the client are paid correctly and on time in accordance with all relevant policies, legislation, national and/or local terms and conditions of service.
  • To be responsible for the efficient management of the department, ensuring timely and appropriate decisions are taken to deliver quality customer care within the resources available.
  • To plan and prioritise the resources required to manage a high volume of payroll inputs both electronic and manual
  • To provide credible leadership, professional management direction, to all staff within the department, to enable the effective sharing of knowledge, ideas and skills.
  • To provide a professional escalation route for complex queries
  • To ensure that statutory obligations relating to the Inland Revenue are properly discharged.
  • To undertake regular and systematic reviews of the processes and systems through which services are delivered, analysing problems and developing solutions to improve customer care.
  • To provide performance management support to monitor achievement and respond to the Department's performance review.


What we're looking for:

  • A proven track record as a payroll professional
  • Ideally people management experience
  • Exceptionally organised with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
