AVP - Business Analyst Markets Treasury - London

Citi Markets Technology is looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst based in London, in an AVP role, to work on Risk and PNL projects within the Markets Treasury Technology team. This is a global team with a client base spanning 70+ countries. The Markets Treasury Technology team is involved in delivering solutions for the treasury desk, and maintains a suite of risk management applications that cover fixed income products.

The successful candidate will need to have a strong mix of business knowledge coupled with project management experience. This role will interface with key Treasury business stakeholders and quants. It will provide a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a different asset class in a Tier1 Investment bank.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the Markets Treasury Businesses to deliver large-scale projects in Risk and PnL
• Managing relationships with various stakeholders (Desk Heads, Business managers, Quants, Other technology teams).
• Project management and Governance: Planning, resource management, status reporting, project delivery.
• Defining business requirements and functional specifications and liaising closely with the business through analysis, testing and go-live phases.
• Driving adoption of new quant models including validation of Risk valuations
• Rolling out new products in the Risk Management systems
• Improving development processes: Includes testing deliverables and reviewing Controls
• Developing Talent: Mentoring and coaching junior members of the wider team
• Improving the Engineering of the Technology platform
• Providing leadership and strategic direction to the development teams
• Good communications skills and ability to put forward arguments persuasively.

Essential Experience/Skills

• Assistant Vice President Role requiring more than 4 years experiences in the financial services industry, with specific focus on Risk.
• Prior business analysis and project management experience.
• Engineering or Mathematics background is preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of Rates & Foreign Exchange products.
• Knowledge of Treasury & accounting functions preferable.
• Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with front-office stakeholders
• Proven ability to conduct research/analysis, organize findings and build plans
• Educational Level: Bachelor's Degree required. Masters is preferred.
