A broad range of accounting and finance tasks will be undertaken providing experience across all The ISC activities.
Tasks at some point would include:

There are no minimum formal qualifications other than to be enrolled (or accepted) for an appropriate educational course.
Student membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians or other appropriate professional body.
Future prospects
If this apprenticeship is successful we would expect this to become a permanent role.
Tasks at some point would include:
- Processing sales ledger invoices
- Sales Ledger invoicing
- Supplier payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining supplier records
- Credit control
- Maintaining customer records
- Processing company credit card statements
- Processing staff expenses
- Month-end journals
- Preparing VAT Returns
- Electronic document management and traditional filing, ad-hoc duties, generally assisting more senior colleagues
- Time sheets and data entry
- Both inbound and outbound calls/emails

Requirements and prospects
Desired skills
- Enthusiasm and desire to work within a small flexible team and willingness to take on a wide range of office tasks
- An understanding of the importance of attention to detail within safety-critical environments such as civilian aviation and the operational railway
- Keyboard skills ideally some competency in Microsoft packages including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- A pleasant outlook and helpful manner towards colleagues and customers alike
Personal qualities
- Flexible, strong team player with a proactive mindset who would be willing to get involved in many aspects of the business
