The Head of Risk and Policy is a nationwide role, developing and implementing risk management and policy frameworks; also managing 3 direct reports.

Client Details

Our client is a well-known charity who have been at the fore-front of the Covid19 vaccination roll-out.

They are based in the City of London and whilst operate as a charity and adhere to the charity commissioners guidelines, also have commercial offerings which assist in stabilising the organisation but also bring their own inherent risks.

This unique organisation has a wide variety of business activities and you will be in a key position to manage, and mitigate against their risks.

Description

You will be required to manage, design and implement, standardised risk management frameworks; including the new policy framework.

This role will involve guiding the organisation towards best practice and continuously identifying areas of improvement.

You will be required to engage and influence senior stakeholders to enhance the risk awareness culture within the charity and ensure that risk remains a key consideration in strategic planning.

As a subject matter expert, you will act as a business partner to identify and manage risks to provide effective assurance.

The role will manage 3 direct reports covering; risk management, policy and information security.

Profile

You must have strong communication skills with the ability to convey challenging messages as well as both influence and engage senior stakeholders.

You will have managerial responsibilities so the ability to coach and develop a team is important.

Experience of working in a charity would be advantageous but not essential.

Experience of managing multiple portfolios at once in addition to the ability to prioritise and manage tight deadlines

Experience of working in a similar role at a senior level in a large and complex organisation.

Awareness as to both the commercial and charitable complexities present within our client's organisation.

A qualification related to risk management, governance, compliance, policy or internal audit would be welcomed but are not essential
