Commercial Finance Business Partner

This Commercial Finance Business Partner role for a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain organisation in Coventry will see you take on a significant position within the finance team. You will offer strategic commercial insight, critically analysing various financial data trends and engaging with stakeholders at all levels to support in significant business decisions adding real value to support growth, increase profit and reduce costs/inefficiencies.

Description

The Commercial Finance Business Partner will:

• Work alongside various stakeholders at senior levels (Directors and Operations Managers) in optimising financial and operational performance of business units
• Provide detailed analysis and insight into commercial and operational arrangements as well as ensuring business processes are efficient and contain robust controls
• Providing analytical insights, tracking against key metrics and identifying opportunities for margin enhancements
• Produce periodic (daily, weekly, month, quarterly) reports to inform on and aid business performance
• Produce project analysis to justify and monitor business growth (organic and acquisitive) initiatives as well as any cost-saving plans
• Supporting the Commercial Finance Director and CFO in strategic opportunities including M&A and strategic projects

Profile

To be successful you will be a confident Finance Business Partner with exposure ideally within a Logistics setting. You will be a skilled Part Qualified/Finalist individual with a real passion to continue your development and will have excellent IT and Excel skills. You will also be able to understand financial and operational processes, and identify the key aspects associated with each process that result in revenues or costs. Further ability to simplify complex financial situations and explain/communicate to others. Able to present information and explain assumptions clearly that are behind commercial analysis.
